Facials oils have fast become the new best essential of skin care but a great many of them come with scary price tags. nSpa’s Deep Hydrating Facial Oil doesn’t come with a hefty price tag and that’s not the only reason I think it deserves a rave review.
What they say:
An intensely nourishing oil to restore radiance.
Suitable for all skin types even sensitive skin.
What I say:
I picked up this oil for cleaing my acne when it was on 2 for £8 offer in Asda (current full price £5 – previously £7) and I’m increasingly pleased I did. A few years ago I would have been scared to put an oil product on my face but since using Botanic’s Organic Facial Oil Mask (my review here) I’ve become more used to the concept. Containing rosehip, jojoba and avocado oils this product feels like a lovely luxury to apply to the skin and instantly feels nourishing after wash. To apply, simply dispense (with the contained pipette) 3-4 drops into the palm of your hand, warm between your hands and press into your skin wiht brush or hand.
I’ve been using this natural oil in the place of my night cream on nights where my skin has been battered by the wind or if I need to relax and have found it sinks into the skin quickly and feels incredibly soothing. My skin isn’t left feeling greasy or oily and the next day my skin feels beautifully hydrated moisturizer and looks rested. I have been through a few diet and medication changes over the past few months which my skin has protested about on a fairly frequent basis. I was a tad worried a rich cleansing oil would inflame my skin but if anything it has quelled redness and left my skin feeling softer than ever.
I’ve heard rumours this product is comparable to much more expensive products from the likes of Sanctuary and Balance Me but I haven’t tried them personally. Using an oil on your skin does feel incredibly luxurious and is something I’ll be researching a bit more and experimenting with once our house is free of brick dust and plaster!
The low price point of this cleanser oil and the Spa range as a whole is really appealing but I always think there is little point in buying something cheap which damages your skin or does very nothing for it. I’m confident that for where my skin is right now, this product is helping it and the low price just happens to be an added extra. A little goes a long way, so this oil should last a really long time.
