Making my clothes work for every season is really important to me. My clothes have to prove they work for me and if they don’t they’re offski. Hey jacket, earn your place!
I loved this accordion skirt during the summer, the floaty layers were perfect on the few hot days we had and it even worked well with thin tights on traditional rainy Manchester days. When it came to winter teaming it with jumpers just didn’t work, it looked out of place and strange. Boo.
But a thin cotton jumper under a thick, structured denim shirt, teamed with a belt balanced the floaty-ness of the skirt instantly. I added in my favourite winter scarf, these New Look boots, which never seem to be off my feet and cable knit leggings from last winter.
What I woreDuffer denim shirt – £4, thrifted (worn here and here).Black accordion skirt – £1.95, thrifted (worn here and here).Green jumper – £1, thrifted.Brown and orange scarf, H&M (worn here).Tapestry bag – 50p, thrifted (seen here).Cable knit leggings – £12, New Look (worn here).Brown boots £5, New Look sale (worn here, here and here).Hat, Zara, gift from my friend.
What do you think, does the skirt make a good transition into winter?
TTFN,
P.S. Cold out there, huh? Anyone would think it is December.
