Hey there sugar tits, are you getting crafty in time for Christmas this year? Here’s a great tutorial for making a pretty fabric bow which you can use for a bazillion and one gift and wrapping ideas. This fabric bow tutorial comes via Claireabellemakes.
Hello Thrifty Types! I’m very happy to be here on A Thrifty Mrs today to share and easy and cheap tutorial for this fabric bow. You can find all these items in normal haberdashery or second hand shops. The thread pictured below is usually around £8 for a large spool, but i picked this up brand new for £1.50 in my local charity shop.
A hot steam iron is needed for steps 1-4 and some simple stitching. I used a basic running stitch. If you are utterly clueless about sewing, YouTube has some great tutorials. You can always invest in some fabric glue which is usually only a few pounds.
You can use these bows to make brooches, hair slides, decorations or even as part of your Christmas wrapping. I’m thinking about making more to form a festive garland for the fireplace.
A big thanks to Claire for sharing this loving tutorial with us today, you can find her making lovely and budget friendly (£3.50!) jewellery over here.
THANKS CLAIRE!
P.S. What are you making this year?
