Fab Find: Cheap Glass Sweetie Jars

Come Christmas many of our friends and family appreciate homemade foodie gifts and not only are they cheap and easy to make, preparing the food is a fun day in itself and an excuse to get really festive and blast out my Christmas music playlists .However what I always struggle with is what kind of vessel we deliver the food in and over the years we’ve tended to go down the route of cheap baskets (which our friends give back in anticipation of more of the same the next year “err…if we give you this back will you do the same again next year?!”) but some of the baskets have slowly broken over our past 8 Christmases living together.

To replace the broken baskets I’ve snaffled some of these cheap glass sweet jars in Home Bargains and I’m super excited about creating lovely, thoughtful gifts to deliver to our friends and family on Christmas eve. I’ll share some of the thrifty Christmas recipes as we get a little closer to Christmas, so keep your eyes peeled.I’ve seen jars like this for £20+ in nearby shops so to find the smaller (11cm tall ‘useable space’ and 45cm around the outside) of the two for £1.99 and the larger (14cm useful height and 54cm around the outside) for £2.49 I was chuffed to bits, especially as they’re not only beautiful and a seriously good size but reusable too. Although I’m not sure if they’ll want to hand these gorgeous jars backThis page and all pages on this site contain links to outside sources including paid affiliates. A Thrifty Mrs is not responsible for the content of any third party website.
