Budget Friendly Christmas Gift Guide (Part 1 £5 – £15)

Budget Friendly Christmas Gift Guide (Part 1 £5 – £15)

Alright my little Christmas pudding? It is officially December and I know a lot of you refuse to start your Christmas shopping until now. So here at A Thrifty Mrs, I’ve put together two budget friendly Christmas gift guides to give you pointers and ideas. This one is in the price bracket of £5 – £15 and the second (which will be out in a couple of days) will be the under £5 bracket.

1. The Little Paris Kitchen by Rachel Khoo
RRP £20 – Cheapest I could find was here £10.86
This book spurned a BBC TV series and is not only beautiful but a great read and a useful book for a cook to have in their weaponry.

2. Brow Perfect Kit by Look Beauty
Look Beauty and Superdrug £11.99
There are lots and lots of fab brow kits around from high street brands at the moment but this has to be my favourite. The design is fantastic, the fixing gel is comparable to expensive high end products and the 7 eyebrow shades are just fantastic and easy to work with.

3. Lego cufflinks by Kitschen Sink*
Kitschen Sink £15
These cufflinks come in a tiny little gift box made with vintage comic strips which as a starting point is a great one. Mr Thrifty has to wear a shirt and tie most days to work and I know he can find it a bit limiting so these a perfect little addition to this workwear. These Lego cufflinks are super strong because the industrial glue goes all the way into the brick to stop the silver plated cufflink from budging, they’re not just a superglue jobbie. They don’t just come in the white you see here, check the Kitschen Sink site to see the other colours they come in.

4. Fox Peter Pan collar necklace by Polka Dot Dreams*
Polka Dot Dreams £8
Ohmagawd, look, look. A Peter Pan collar with necklace attachment and a sweet little fox in the centre. This is both creative and sweet and not to mention just about the most perfect addition to any dress or top I have ever seen. Ever.

5. Brachiosaurus Dinosaur brooch

Designosaur, around £6
I’m a huge dinosaur geek so not only did I bag one for friend but I snatched one up for myself. These come in a variety of different dinosaur designs not to mention in different colours (mine is cherry wood).

6. The Simple Things magazine subscription
The Simple Things – starting at 3 issues for £5
Ummm someone seems to have burrowed into my head and made my version of the most perfect magazine ever. The cover price is £4.99 but if you subscribe it works out that you get the first three issues for £5 as some kind of trial.

7. Pink clutch bag
Peacocks, £7
I know someone who likes pink, I know someone who likes glitter and that same person likes bags too so when I spotted this at £7 I just knew I had to snap it up. Peacocks actually have some really nice bits and bobs in at the moment so I’ve been in an out to find some great bargains in the run up to Christmas this year.
8. MUA Artiste Collection
MUA or Superdrug, £6
This palette features 6 eyeshadows, 2 blushers, a bronzer and a highlighter all at the always surprisingly amazing quality, MUA provide at a low cost, time and again.

9. Anchor necklace*
Random Quirks, £8
This necklace is kitsch, fun and quirky and perfect for a number of my kitsch fanatic friends. I like that the chain is black rather than silver or something because it really allows the fun plastic details to pop.
10. Hand dyed bracelet with charm*
Pookledo, £5
These bracelets are made with reclaimed bangles and wrapped with hand dyed thread which gives them great eco credentials to go with their pretty side. They complete with a silver tone charm (pick from a selection), I really love the old fashioned Singer sewing machine.
11 & 12. Reindeer Games earrings* and Falling Star Earrings*
Benita Blue, £7 per pair
I’m not really the kind of person to wear tinsel Christmas earrings and neither are my friends so both of these pairs are the perfect compromise of Christmassy and pretty. The dainty little silver reindeer earrings are just so sweet and unusual and then falling star earrings are perfect for Christmas but can still be worn throughout the year.
By the way Benita Blue are giving A Thrifty Mrs readers 15% off with the code THRIFTYMRS until 24/12/12.
