Selling online can be a bit of a minefield, with new sites and apps appearing what feels like everyday. Wallapop is a bit different to the rest of these sites because the emphasis of this app is to buy and sell locally. Selling or buying locally takes away the issue of postage or travelling huge distances to pick something up, it also means you get the chance to checkout the item with relative ease. Using the app (free both on iOS here and Android here) is a bit like holding a flea market or setting up a stall at a bootsale but instead of the huge hassle of organising it and getting up early on a Sunday, you just keep your little neighbourly flea market stowed away in your pocket in the form of a phone app.
If you’re stuck for money heading into the Christmas period and have a lot of stuff sitting around not doing very much then it is definitely worth downloading the app (free here), snapping some photos and uploading your no longer loved possessions onto the site. I’m hoping to pick up some bits for the house and also hoping to clear out some bags and photography equipment. Have you signed up to see what’s on offer in your local area yet?
