I like a little luxury in life and as we know usually, luxury costs. Not just in the purse region but it also, it costs the earth.Despite being married to an eco fanatic there is one thing that I won’t scrimp on and I’m aware it has an impact on the planet. I feel tres guilty about it.I can’t just can’t do scratchy, cheap, tracing paper loo roll. Scratchy rough towels, (they is gud for you, bracin’ innit?) yes, yes, yes! Rubbing my bottom on something akin to tree bark. No, no, no. I spend a lot of time sitting on my fat arse, I need to look after it.Now, I know quilted loo roll (obviously, I don’t buy branded, have you SEEN the price of that stuff?) is the devil in toilet paper eco stakes but I allow myself to have it by using less. How? Squeezing it. Yep dull, boring and mundane tip as this is, it will save you money and it will spare the earth a little.
Before you pop the loo roll on the holder squeeze the roll so that the middle is tight and flat, so you can no longer see through it. This means that the loo roll turns slower and gives less tissue. Simple and effective. This will make you use less toilet paper. Factoid. Now I’m aware you’re sitting there thinking “really? really? A blog post about loo roll, how has she managed to string that one out?” but try it okay? Just try it. Try if for me. Come on, at least nod your head to make me feel better about blogging about toilet tissue. Ah thanks!
