After much discussion, in the comments section of this post, about some bloggers not being real enough/too perfect (actually I have no problem with that, I prefer to read about the glossy side of life sometimes) I thought I’d share the truth behind this blog. Various people have accused me of concentrating on the good side of life only throughout my years of blogging. I do tend to share the lighter side of life but if you scroll through there are mentions of depression, stillbirth, miscarriage and struggles with friendships that prove I am infact real and anyway, have you seen the size of me? I’m not perfect. I thought I’d show a peek of Thrifty Towers in bombsite mode just to prove it all the more.Oversharing, see, it’s my thang. Yeah, I said thang. move on.
Welcome to our bedroom.
Unmade bed, clean washing waiting to be put away, underwear on the floor, cotton wool pads on my bedside table, make up strewn across my dressing table, dehumidifier unemptied, coffee cups decorating bedside tables, mirror undusted, DVDs cluttering up the drawers, scarves hanging here, there and every-bleedin’-where. See, I’m a skank when I want to be.With a bit of hustle however, I managed to get the room dusted and all my junk put away in 25 minutes. Just time for a quick run around with Hetty before I stick my feet up and ignore the mess in the living room. But I promise you it isn’t always ‘perfect’ and not one single blogger out there is perfect. going to host a Q&A post so if you have any questions (about the blog, Thrifty Towers, thrifting, blogging or anything else – nothing too personal) email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll pick around 20 questions to answer sometime soon.
