Sunglass Storage

Sunglass Storage

Ah I love good storage or a organisation solution don’t I? And today I tackle that deep, deep, burning world issue of sunglass storage, you’ll be able to sleep safe in your beds tonight, people. I don’t have expensive sunglasses, my teenage boyfriend bought me a gorgeous pair of Chloe shades when I was 18 but they hurt my nose and I wore them all of once, I’m a cheap and cheerful girl when it comes to shades. I tend to pick them up on my holiday or when I see a cute pair in a charity shop or bootsale. My friend recently shipped a box of sunglasses I’d been storing at her house and I’ve been changing out my sunglasses almost daily. Sunglasses storage became a problem.

It goes without saying that if you have an expensive or treasured pair of shades they should be kept in the case they came with or you should invest in a nice glasses case. However I don’t have any treasured or expensive sunglasses and like to see what I have. Because I now have this stupidly large box of sunglasses I’m wading through them a few at a time (selling some, wearing some) and have 6-7 on the go at any one time. My easy peasy sunglasses storage solution is to hang them over a pretty coloured hanger. I bought this purple hanger from a charity shop for a penny but you could spray paint an ugly coloured hanger if all of yours are black and fugly. I have a week worth of sunglasses hanging up on the side of my vintage wardrobe, with the aid of a picture rail hook – no need for nails, making them easy to grab and helpful when planning an outfit.
