On Sunday, I trudged through the insane wind and rain across Manchester to a tea party in aid of Marie Curie run by Susie from Susie’s Old Fashioned Finishing School. I was greeted with cupcakes and tea served in bone china cups, *sigh* so good, so damn good.
Susie had arranged for the best cupcakes and other tasty treats in the northwest to be served on vintage cake plates whilst we listened to Vintage78DJ play his tunes to us on wind up gramophones. I ran the raffle and got to waffle on to everyone who came through the door and call people losers when they failed to win a prize, charmer, non? It was an all round great event and a lovely way to escape the drudgery of rainy Manchester. Thanks to Susie for putting so much time and effort into the event, it made a real change to my regular Sunday afternoon routine of sitting in watching Come Dine With Me in my pyjamas.
You can read more about the event on Old Fashioned Susie and Intrinsically Florrie.

P.S. I believe you still have time to register with Marie Curie to host your own Tea Party.
