The sugar scrub looks great! I have a friend who is due to pop her second sprog on 29th december so it will be a great "little something" just for her during that hectic time. Thank you! Can I put in a request for couples ideas please :-) Im even happy to wait til next year lol xx
ReplyDeleteHow do you mean 'couples ideas'?
DeleteLike a present that, for example, would be good for you and Mr Thrifty (NOT in a rude way) but something you would both like. Thanks x
DeleteOk cool idea. It isn't I'm my current plans but if I find some time I'll see what I can do.
DeleteThank you :-) as I said I'm happy to wait til next year x
DeleteI might try the sugar scrub to give to my mum! That's an amazing idea. I think the girl above means gifts for boyfriends/girlfriends :) I'd love to see a post like that too!
ReplyDeleteI hope your mum likes it.
ReplyDeleteI have some gift guides lined up but not sure about many more crafty ones due to my poor old fingers giving out on me.
Oh my gosh, love this post! Especially the framed pin cushion!!
ReplyDeleteI did a diy lip scrub post yesterday, was amazed how easy it was to do, and how cheap to make!

You've saved my Christmas bacon Mrs Thrifty! I'm super skint this year and I was paniking about Christmas gift but now I don't have too. Thank you for posting this! :) x
ReplyDeleteI wanted to make some lavender pouches using some left over organza bags so this was really helpful thank you for the ebay seller all your recommendations are great
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous! I love the glitter shoes!! So exciting! I think i might try my hand at jam making for my aunts and nanny this year! They look so cute packaged up! They might look nice in a hamper with the lip and body scrub for my mam! Ohhh ideas ideas! I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas - love the scrub, and i think you can make it look so lovely with ribbons/posh jar etc.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking nah, I wouldn't try any of the scrub/balm ideas, since I gave my husband a rash using natural organic bee's wax in something previously (he has a bad pollen allergy, silly me, it never even crossed my mind, you never know what allergies people have these days. But the earring and brooch holder, will be great for my niece (aged 12), I will pick up a wee selection of jewelry from Primark and pop them in. 12 is a hard age to buy for, thanks Mrs T.

I cant wait to try the body scrub!!! Thanks for all the great ideas!
ReplyDeleteIve made cookie mix jars for almost everyone this year, I did tins of christmas sweets and chocolates last year. It is a more personal gift and usually cheaper in the long run if you have lots of people to make for. I have done 15 jars (2 diabetic friendly) and still have some ingredients left for us to use, and its cost around £50 in total. So not too bad. Plus the made cookies are so yummy!
