  5. I love it! I'll be using the urban outfitters one! I'm so glad I saw this as I was in there on Thursday for Fashion Night Out and I didn't buy what I wanted to because the shop was closing - now I can get it cheaper! Thank you!

  7. Hi I love reading your blog, but I do wonder whether the Saturday Savings Codes might actually encourage buying something for the sake of it. It is great that the codes let you save money, but it isn't a bargain if you don't need it. I know back in the ways when I was a spendthrift I would convince myself that I'd done well by buying items in the sales, but I was still buying things I didn't need and I no longer have them as I didn't cherish them.

    1. Hmm I see you point and have wondered about that myself from time to time. However I mention on a weekly basis be it on my blog, videos or twitter that it is important to use codes only for things you need them and to consider Saturday Savings as a handy post if you're already intending to buy something etc.
I can't after all help it if people decide to splurge, they are their own self and a lot of the lessons on my blog are about learning small tricks for normal consumption of money not just seeing something like a code or sale and going beserk just because it is there.

    2. Ooh turns out my phone won't let me post an essay haha!
The other week I posted a Clarks code and had dozens of emails thanking me for enabling them to buy shoes for their children with a nice discount which meant thu could afford extra uniform/food

That is who I aim Saturday Savings at.

  8. My replies make no sense! Damn commenting on an iPhone! Sorry. But yes I hope you get my point. I often talk about sales not always being great and discount codes ditto so I do hope people don't see these posts as irresponsible. I wouldn't publish them I hadn't taked (extensively) about being sensible with codes and sales.

    1. Thanks for taking the time out to respond. Of course I would not think that these posts are irresponsible and you can be in no way be held to account for people over-stretching their budgets! Overall I think that your posts are very helpful and you go a long way to educate people on budgeting ways. I agree that these savings codes are a useful resource but if you are thinking of retiring it, I wouldn't miss it as much as other aspects of your blog. Maybe just have a monthly round up?

    2. I like the regular youtube posts and charity shop posts in case you think I am negative, which I am not!
