My favourite thrifty nail decoration this week comes in the form of two bottles. Both of which are MUA.I've never been a big fan of nail art - probably because I can't do it but crackle polish? Yes, yes, yes, even my creatively lacking soul can manage that.
The lilac is from their Love Hearts range, in the shade 24/7 which comes in at £2. I really like this polish and it lasts ages on my nails without too much chipping or wear. I would say however the application is a nightmare simply because the brush goes off in so many directions it is like the damn thing is doing a world tour to find itself.
The top colour is also MUA and is a glitter nail quake in gold* which I wasn't sure about when it first arrived but I've been really pleased with the results I've been able to achieve with it. A thick layer creates a great ripped up, quaked look and a light layer gives twinkly stripes. It's only £2.99 which I think is a bit of a bargain.
What do you have on your nails this week? Have you had any penny pinching polish bargains of late?
TTFN,
P.S. As usual with PPP, these nails show a bit of wear and tear because I like to show you what they really look like and how they fair, not some airbrushed photo of freshly manicured nails. FYI these had been worn for 3 days at this point.

Ooo I love this combination. Such a bargain too! xx

I love effects of the lighter layer if the gold. I've been too heavy handed with mine it seems and can't wait to try again. Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteI just love Mua full stop! thanks Thrifty girl! :0)
ReplyDeletethank you for yet another great blog :0)
ReplyDeleteWell today I am sporting a French manicure, the brand is Kiss. It was so easy to use. The best part is it was only 50 pence from the car boot.
ReplyDeleteI literally wrote about MUA polishes last night! I get bored of colours really quickly and end up peeling off nail varnish just to put a different colour on, so I reckon their £1 polishes are a bargain and doesn't feel like I'm throwing money down the drain. I've had one called Frozen Yoghurt on my nails for two days so far with no chips, which is more than I can say about some of the more expensive brands I have at home. Nice colour too!

ReplyDeleteThis is a nice combo! I got the Barry M black crackle but I wasn't keen. Might try the gold. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love MUA products, I have a few of their nail polishes and they work great.
ReplyDeleteI recently did a post on a dupe for OPI's Rainbow Connection nail polish, which is Technic in Carnival which comes in at a whopping...99p!
xo
To still look this lovely after 3 days is amazing :) xx
ReplyDeleteLove this combo I'm not really a big fan of shatters but I dig this one
ReplyDeleteI've just done a similar about my cheap nail look because I'm awful at nail art too!
