Poodle Shoes

yellow ballet flats

I want a dog, I'm not allowed a dog so I've made some dog shoe clips. Seems a logical step, huh?

They're really easy to make to be honest. Just pick out your favourite cabochon (I did a couple of posts featuring loads here and here) and buy a pack of shoe clips. Then use a hot glue gun to glue them together. Allow to fully dry and for the glue to fully firm up (technical term) and away you go. Easy peasy poodle-squeezy. You can easily add a quick flourish of ribbon to hide the fastenings if you're using a small embellishment and vintage buttons hide a multitude of glue gun sins.

The shoe clips come with little holes so you can also fasten your embellishment on with a few tight stitches. A bow is really simple and easy as are flower corsages.

They make for a cheap not to mention quick and easy gift or something to add a kitch quirk to a boring outfit or past their best pair of shoes.

P.S. This is my second post of the day, you can find the first - where I muse about opening a vintage shop, here.
