Monday --- Get a damp cloth and run it along your curtain poles. If the curtains stick when you pull them, spray the pole with furniture polish and rub in with a cloth.
Tuesday --- Turn your keyboard upside and lightly tap to get out some of the grime.
Wednesday --- Test out your spare room - come back on Wednesday for a post on this topic.
Thursday --- Go through your felt tip pens and throw out the horrible, old dried out ones.
Friday --- Give your door bell a good clean.
Saturday --- Open any post you have sitting unopened in that hallway of yours.
Sunday --- Put a cloth or rag in your washing machine then do a very hot wash with vinegar in the drum. It should keep it from ponging too much. Remember also to leave your washing machine door open between washes - cue inevitable protests from cat and baby owners - obviously be sensible.

i love reading these posts even though i'm not a housewife! they give me little ideas for things to do and prompt me to keep my own space in my house (ie my bedroom!) relatively clean and tidy! (she says while sitting in bed looking round her extremely messy bedroom..) :P

I might have to give this a go.. though the curtain pole one doesn't sound appealing.. I've lived in my house for 2 years and can't remember ever cleaning the curtain pole.. this is why I'll never be a good housewife x

We don't HAVE doorbell at the moment, we have a nice gold knocker (ooeer missus) so I have to decide whether to replace the bell with one that works, or remove the defunct one. The take-away man got confused on Sunday night and we almost didn't get our weekly treat!! Horror!
