ReplyDeleteWhich seaside do you go to from Manchester? Just curious, we live a stones throw from the beach (near Crosby and the Anthony Gormley men) so it's interesting to know where people go when they aren't so close (or I am just nosy!).
ReplyDeleteIf the weather holds out?!Lol! Actually thinking about it, some of my best seaside visits as a child was when it was actually raining. Parents wouldn't let a bit of a rain bother us especially if we were away camping (in a caravan). So on went the waterproofs and out came the umbrellas. My sister & I couldn't really sit & make sandcastles but we'd always have a walk on the beach, have Mr Whippy 99's and I'd be allowed on the two penny pusher machines in the amusement parks & normally always win some cheap toy or watch. If my parents bought fish & chips we'd just eat it in the car or their campervan looking across the beach. I've done something similar with the hubby (we take out a picnic plate set & bottle of ketchup just incase) and it's sort of satisfying hearing the rain drops on the car roof while eating in the warm & dry. Yes the car will stink but nothing a bit of air freshener won't sort. Sure it would be nice to have some sunny dry weather but in this country unfortunately sometimes we just have to work with what we are given. Hope you have a lovely weekend rain or no rain ;-) xox
