cotton wool drawstring bag
You know those plastic bags with little cotton drawstrings which cotton wool and the like come in? Yeah? Don’t throw those out. They are endlessly useful especially if you travel a lot.

REUSE Cotton wool bag
We all have those items which look perfectly secure but always, always, always, for some reason leak the product over everything else. Yep, we’ve all got them be they face creams, powders or nail oils. We’ll it’s pretty simple, you can see where I’m going, right?

Just put the leaky item into one of these little bags and secure with the drawstring. No more finding your blush brush coated in suncream or eyeshadow.

You’re welcome.

P.S. Happy FRIDAY!

  2. Great tip! Will definitely remember this next time I go on a trip!xoxo

  3. If only I’d done this when I went on holiday, and returned with a suitcase covered in conditioner! Good thinking :)

  4. Genius!! :) xx

  5. Good plan! :) I use the long ‘tube bags’ of cotton wool pads, just right for my moisturiser which ALWAYS leaks.

  6. The bags with drawstring tops used for large quantities of toilet rolls are excellent for lining waste paper bins and tie up neatly for disposal. The Essential Waitrose ones are especially good !

  7. I’ve always used carrier bags to wrap my shampoo suncream etc after a leaky disaster one holiday. I will be saving these up now for next time I go away, great idea x

  8. That’s a really good tip!

  9. Sandwich bags work equally as well if you’re the sort that buys them in. I always take my toothbrush in a sandwich bag or similar as there’s nothing worse than getting to your destination and having to pick bits of bag fluff out of it.

  10. I have one of these bags which I’ll use for such purposes when it’s empty of cotton pads :)

    Super idea!

  11. Great idea, I’m glad you shared this!
