Oh how you make us giggle! Check out my new blog? New review! vivalashoes.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI follow via RSS in Google Reader rather than GFC.
ReplyDeleteThe most awkward bit is under the kitchen units - they are all on stands rather than having boards to the floor and the stairs - although I can do the stairs with the vacuum cleaner it's kind of heavy and I have to concentrate to make sure that the cleaner doesn't fall down the stairs as it would probably take me with it.
Wow, I didn't think I could get so excited about a hoover!
ReplyDeleteWe have a dog so pretty much everywhere in our flat is tricky to clean, as his hair gets caught everywhere, but his bed is (obviously) particularly bad :/
I will go tweet about this giveaway now!

Followed and tweeted... the spot in my home which is trickiest to clean is the stairs - the attachements we have at the moment just don't reach quite far enough!
ReplyDeleteI am another google reader follower, is that ok? I have one step, second from top that my vacume doesn't reach from the bottom, and if I go from the top the angle occludes the hose so it doesn't work either. The Dirty Step!!

... oh and the trickiest bit to clean in my home is definitely the stairs, the current hoover is so heavy it always feels like it's about to topple me down the stairs when I'm cleaning them!
ReplyDeleteFor me the most awkward place for me to clean is underneath my bed and the skirting boards next to it. My beds so heavy and it's a massie kerfuffle to move it to be able to clean properly. Every so often i do it but it's SUCH a hassle! xxx
ReplyDeleteOh I saw the ad for this the other night and was so excited by it! I bloomin' love Dyson. It's not anywhere is my home I have particular trouble with, although there are plenty of awkward nooks and crannies in my old Victorian semi. It's my car! The baggy leather bit around the gear stick is an absolute bugger, and I would love a handheld to solve this problem!

What a great giveaway! The trickiest part of my home to clean is definitely some areas of the bathroom.. It's just so tiny and crammed together, some parts I'm close to ending up with my head in the toilet bowl trying to clean!
ReplyDeletelaceandliquorvintage@hotmail.com, XO.
Oh I saw the ad for this the other day and was so excited, I love Dyson! The trickiest spot is not in my house, although it has plenty of awkward bits, but in my car. It's that baggy leather bit around the gear stick that gathers all sorts of guffins. I'd love a handheld for that!

The worst bit to clean for me is definitely the stairs, we have a BIG heavy vax upright and it is just impossible to get it up my narrow stairs. The corners are over-riddden with dust bunnies. #ohtheshame
ReplyDeleteFab prize I used to have a handheld hoover when I was younger at home for my bedroom my mum thought I was nuts! Trickiest part of my house is definitely the hall stairs and landing not one plug socket takes 2 extension leads and is still tricky as the hoover is sooo heavy x
ReplyDeleteIt has got to be the stairs - I always nearly kill myself trying to lug the hoover around, or by tripping over the wire. I think the second worst place is under my wardrobe - I get annoyed just thinking about it!

what a fantastic prize! Since I have been following your blog, I have got so many good tips - you are doing a brilliant job. Hand held dyson - fantastic idea. Sharon (domesticgoddess76@hotmail.com)
ReplyDeleteThe most awkward bit of our flat for me to clean is everything! Well, specifically anything involving dust, as I have bad allergies, and we don't have space in the flat for a big hoover (we have one of those carpet sweeper things).
ReplyDeleteI've added this blog to my google reader list - is that the same as GFC? I'm limited in what I can see and do as I mostly browse from my phone.

I bloody hate trying to clean under the sofa, it's a royal pain in the arse. And our hallway is awful to clean because it's so narrow; stupid Victorians and their small statures!

The stairs - far too many toppling opportunities for the standing vacuum.
ReplyDeleteBeen following your blog for a while, but I think this is my first comment.

I always find the most awkward bit is the bit of carpet behind the toilet! You have to be really bendy to lean over the toilet and not head butt the wall to get right back there.
ReplyDeleteRetweeted it twitter handle @iPrincess26
ReplyDeleteHardest part to hoover the bit between the wall and the sofa!
The trickest area in my house to clean would be the cats bed, I only have a big hoover and it's a nightmare to clean! I'd love a handheld for little spills as well! I follow with GFC :D jadejetley@hotmail.co.uk x x
ReplyDeleteThe trickiest area to clean is the stairs as no hoover seems to be able to tackle the matted cat hair, and basically anywhere the cat has been really! Jen x toothpasteforbears(at)googlemail(dot)com

ReplyDeleteThe most tricky place to clean in my flat is the tops of the wardrobes; mainly because it means I have to clear off all of the shoe boxes and stand on a ladder. A hand held hoover would be just the business to sort that out! :)
Mine mucky bit is definately towards the middles of under beds, where my regular vacuum just can't reach!
ReplyDeleteExtractor fans!! I'm already a follower on GFC.

My mucky spot is under the beds where the vacuum cleaner just doesn't quite reach! (hoping I've not posted twice as it went a bit funny!!!)
ReplyDeleteooo what a great giveaway!! I've been after a handheld vacuum for ages! I'd have to say the trickiest part of my house to clean is where the kitchen floor meets the counters - for some reason they seem to accumulate loads of dirt and it's near impossible to get it all up, this little hand held beauty would come in very useful! :) I'm following you on GFC :) xx
ReplyDeleteOoooh! This would make The Beard a VERY happy chappy! Hard to clean bits for us are anywhere our delightful pushkas decide to sleep. A quick going over with this beaut would save us a lot of sticky tape.

Fabulous giveaway please add me in. You know that bit behind the radiator pipe, well that, it always looks grey I just can't get to it with my upright. I see from the comments that people vacuum under their beds, who knew, bless em I am such a slovenly woman! x
ReplyDeleteThe most difficult place to clean in my house is behind the fish tank. It's set in an old fireplace in the chimney breast and the fish tank is so heavy I struggle to clean around it :(
ReplyDeleteI follow you on GFC and have tweeted (@jen__la)
I'm not sure I've ever heard a hoover described in such an exciting way! I just followed on GFC but have followed on bloglovin' for a while now. The trickiest bit to clean is my window and the sill, there's so many nooks and crannies.
ReplyDeleteI follow you on GFC.
ReplyDeleteI find the trickiest spot to clean is the corner where two skirting boards meet. With my hefty hoover it is a challenge!
As I'm a student and my landlord is useless... He's given us an equally useless hoover so everywhere is a nightmare!!!! It doesn't even pick up anything, and it's so old it still uses bags to collect the dust (which it doesn't seem to pick up) in... We've changed the bag to see if that makes a difference, but NO! It's just useless!!! And we can't afford a newer one... :( This is a GREAT giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteI've also tweeted about it :) (@LouiseSheard28)

The trickiest part in our house is the cat bed/blankets trying to hoover that fur with a large non-handheld hoover can be tricky haha! This little hoover would be great :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway!!!
ReplyDeleteMy worst part of hoovering is definately the stairs in my apartment - being old and having a back problem means my old and rather useless hoover is far too heavy for me and my old lady back and I have to ask for assistance when trying to hoover using it :-( I woild love a handheld Dyson so I can hoover the stairs with minimal bending and also not hoover the cat, sock, keys or other random things I can't bend down to pick up :-(
I am also Tweeting your link for the competition.
Have a great weekend! Claire from pinkchickclaire.blogspot.co.uk

Do you think this little Dyson will actually make me "enjoy" hoovering??! It might y'know! It looks like a machine I could handle!
ReplyDeleteWorst/most awkward place to hoover belongs down the side of my washing machine which is so close to the wall, yet not close enough so I have this little gap where spiders live. (I've never seen one there but, I just "know" that's where they live!) >.<
Following via GFC as The Pampered Sparrow.

I think my car is worse than my house (amazing the amount of dirt a child can generate while strapped into in a car seat) but in our house it is definitely that bit behind the radiator that no vacuum tool seems to get to. Ah well, out of sight, out of mind ;)

ReplyDeleteI find it tricky cleaning behind the bed, which is against two walls and always has a pesky spider hiding there..grr!

I follow on Google Friends Connect. I find the worst places are on top of the roller blinds ( I have little legs and can't reach) and those awkward bits between the radiator and skirting boards that no normal hoover can get! Oh and my car,... living in a flat means my hoover extension cord won't reach downstairs. Oh how I long for a handheld hoover like that sexy dyson to make my car look presentable when passengers get in!
ReplyDeleteLucy x
I follow you on google friend connect. The worst spot to hoover in our house is anywhere the dog has been - so that's just about everywhere! I could really do with a handheld to tackle my hairy car seats, they reek of dog!

Down the side ofnthe sofa! Like between wherenthe sofa and the wall meet... When im sat on the armchair i can just seeee all the dust and it kills me! Our crappy hoovers nozzle does not havethe power to get round there to get it out waah!
ReplyDeleteOoh oooh oohh I would love to win this! It's funny how excited one can get over a vacuum cleaner but we really need a new one!
ReplyDeleteOur whole house is a nightmare to clean-fur is a big issue. Four bunnies, two cats and a dog and I'm allergic to all! Get rid of them you say? NEVER I tell thee! ;)
Between the radiator and the skirting boards -- what a pain! AND they're always white coloured so a real bugger for showing up the dirt.

the hardest place is under my husbands bottom as he is always sitting on the settee watching the TV, this place is getting more and more dusty as first football, now wimbledon and next the olympics will keep him glued there, so you can see this is a truly tricky place to clean, Love your blogs, keep on blogging!

ReplyDeleteThe trickiest area in my house to clean (other than high shelves and cabinets) has to be my desk area, only because It is full I so much crap. ReplyDeleteAnyway, i follow you on GFC ( MindyandRoo ) The most annoying/awkward/pain in the arse bit of my house to clean is behind the toilet, well in the corner really, it's right next to the wall and i have to practically have my face on the toilet to reach it *shuddders* /essay over

Wow - I soooo need this. The trickiest bit of my home to clean is the open space underneath the bath, the extension on the handheld dyson would be prefect for this!
ReplyDeleteIm following on GFC, and have added the comment on Twitter. Pick me please.
:O)
The stairs! Whoever built our house spent the budget on chintz rather than plug sockets so I can just about reach the first few stairs from the bottom and then the top few from the upstairs socket, so there's an unvacuumed hinterland in the middle. If I don't win, I guess I could look into getting an extension cord.

ReplyDeleteWe have an indoor bunny and his cage is in the porch. We leave his cage door open as he uses the litter tray in there whenever we wants to poop or wee. Following by GFC. I find the trickiest place in my sons room because I have to manoeuvre round all his toys!
ReplyDeleteThe edge of the stairs, we have 5 pets and the fur all seems to collect there!

ReplyDeletei follow your blog. The trickiest part to clean is under my bed. It gathers all the dust but the hoover cannot fit underneath!

ReplyDeleteThe trickiest place to clean are the edges where the carpet and skirting board meets because you have to find the right attachment and mess about with your hoover!

The trickiest place to clean in my house is behind the computer! So many wires that I get tangled up in!

I would say there are a couple of tricky places in my house; behind the bed and we have a unit in the kitchen where all our pans are. You have to almost lie on the floor to clean underneath it!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog,
Katie x
When we moved house we inherited a staircase with nasty 1970s wrought iron balusters, horrid, horrid curly black dust catchers that send me quite potty. I do my best with a damp cloth and I am patiently waiting for this job to come to the top of Mr D-m's almost never-ending list of improvements so that I can gracefully sweep down the stairs in my ball gown of an evening without churning up a mini twister on the way!
ReplyDeleteUnder the fish tank! They're on a cabinet that I can't really move with the tank on top, and my hoover is ancient, heavy and huge and I just plain can't get under it :(

good day to you, fine lady. if i had this hoover i'd probably use it to clean my unnaturally dusty room (it's ridiculous), specifically the corner where i keep my guitars because it's like dust city over there and hoover access is limited. i just tweeted the thing with my twitter name @demiiw1 (that fellow charity shop go-er who tweets you sometimes) and i linked your post in my blog over at http://grassandotherthings.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/some-old-lady-is-lurking-behind-you.html :-)
ReplyDeleteI have to say I don't know what part of my flat is hardest to clean yet, as I've only just moved in! I've yet to buy any sort of hoover, so it would be rather handy to win this :) Follow via GFC! x
ReplyDeleteHiya thrifty... I cant follow on google connect but i do follow you on bloglovin, youtube and on twitter (@maryflashypants). Big ol' fan of yours :)
ReplyDeleteANSWER: I always dread doing the stairs. I'm just not a fan of doing 1 step at a time and dragging the hoover with me! my stairs get neglected as a result!!! ooops!
Hope I can enter this comp!
Thanks! Mary xx

Our whole flat is carpeted (even the bathroom and the kitchen) which isn't ideal, especially as hoovering round the toilet isn't easy. Following via Google connect (I hope it worked - I also follow you on google reader but I don't expect you can see that!). Tracy x
ReplyDeleteHey Thrifty!
ReplyDeleteI follow on GFC :)
The hardest part of my flat to clean is probably under the sofa! Moving that bad boy is a mission and a half!

Hi, just found your great blog!
ReplyDeleteI follow by GFC.
I will also tweet too!
Strange as it may seem ( and probably a tad on the eww! Side)
The hardest place for us to Hoover/vacumn is behind our toilet & pedestal sink in the bathroom.
Both daughters have long hair & that's where the dust bunnies find a home for it.
I have followed, which is handy as I wanted to anyway and done an extra twitter entry on @mummylimited
ReplyDeleteThe hardest place to vacuum is underneath the table legs of the dining room table. Always food there to and so hard to reach with a broom
Hi! I'm so happy I found your blog ... I consider myself a bit of a Thrifty Mrs as well ;) I'm now following via GFC ...
ReplyDeleteThe hardest place to vacuum in my house is between the couch and the side table. They are not edge to edge so there's this 5 inch gap between which I have to get on my hands and knees to get all the way into the back! And don't even get me started on the curving stairs :S
@KookyKaty
I've also tweeted :) Not sure if I was supposed to add a separate comment ... (and can't see my original comment so hope it's been captured!)

ReplyDeleteHi, I am following via GFC.
ReplyDeleteThe hardest/trickiest place to clean in my house is my 9 year old son's bedroom - the floor is covered in Lego and under the bed houses toys, dirty/smelly/clean? clothes and plates, cups and all sorts. And he's not even a teenager!!
I tweeted @smilernpb
ReplyDeleteOh the hardest place to clean has to be the two flights of stairs!
