Remember how I asked if you had any thrifty questions you needed help with in this post? Well I've had loads and loads and loads of questions sent my way. I'm slowly going through them to work out answers and putting them together into groups so I can answer them effectively in batches. Today I'm answering your questions about charity shops in the form of a video.
If the embedded video doesn't work you can click over to my youtube channel and watch it there. Hurrah!
I hope you like the video format. Don't worry the written posts are going nowhere and won't be losing their frequency but I thought the occasional video might be fun. I quite enjoyed making it and would be up for doing more so if you like it please do subscribe or comment over on youtube so I know if I should make some more or not.
TTFN,
P.S. I know how to rattle on, huh?

ReplyDeleteGreat! I like a bit of a shake up every now and then :)
ReplyDeletegreat video great tips :) you have a lovely voice!xx
ReplyDeleteThanks for answering my question :-) you seem a bit nervous in the video which is cute (not in a condescending way). I liked it
ReplyDeleteThanks for making the video, loving your work lol. I find the higher end shops you were talking about are increasingly filled with new household items. I know it is for charity and it may be fair-trade but its not what I am looking for.

Awwww you're lovely!! Love the tips too. xx
ReplyDeleteLove the vid thrifty! You have a lovely voice :)
ReplyDeleteThat is interesting what you say about the two types of charity shops, I had thought about it before but you described it perfectly. There are a lot of high end 'chain' charity shops local to me, and not so many individual low end ones. Maybe that is why I am always wondering why the charity shops around here seem more expensive than the ones you shop in.
Thanks for the video, it gave me loads of ideas!!!! I have just had to have clear out as the stuff was overtaking my house!!! But not anymore. Yupp the high end charity shops are getting to be a major joke now!!! I try to avoid them now if I can. But keep the good work up!!!
ReplyDeleteLoved the vlog! Wonderful! And i love hunting our those hospice style charity shops...the old ladies are normally so lovely too! x
ReplyDeleteNice. So that's what you sound like! I am so nosey!!! :) I think you should rope in Mr Thrifty to pose you the questions and be your interviewer :) must be hard keeping everything you want to say in response in your head otherwise. But I enjoyed the vid and good tips as always ;)
ReplyDeleteyes I agree you are lovely! now that I know what you sound like I'll hear your voice as I read your blog! veery good tips! I especially need to keep in mind the one about only buying what I love :)
ReplyDeleteBrilliant!! Love the video, really enjoyed that! Good advice for me as i have to admit to being ever so slightly (ok, a lot!) addicted to charity shopping! especially the one in one out rule..will make sure i do that from now on! Thanks Thrifty..will look forward to more videos xx

ReplyDeleteFinally got around to watching this! Amazing! Definitely want to see more of your lovely place please Mrs. I've also linked to it in a post I've scheduled about charity shop shopping as there's so many great tips you've shared!
ReplyDeleteI love your one in one out system. I bought a lovely dress today from a second hand shop and a new top from a charity shop. Therefore, I think I should find a new home for two things I don't need anymore :) Thanks! x
