A huge, great big thank you to the Fairy Hobmother, these DVDs are something I'd never have bought for myself, they're the sort of thing I constantly mean to buy but bills get in the way of, but will put a smile on my face for years to come. Being bed bound with a lupus flare won't be quite as bad anymore.
So thriftsters, leave a comment with your wish on this post and the Fairy Hobmother may just come and visit you.
Now shall we all sing the Gilmore Girl theme tune together? Shall we?
If you're out on the road...
TTFN,
P.S. If you've never seen the Gilmore Girls you really need to correct that quick smart.

Wow, so cool! :-)
ReplyDeleteWell, if the fairy were going to be generous to me I'd ask for a TV boxset too, Six Feet Under.
Raf
Aw, this is such a lovely idea! My wish would be for anything from toys, accessories and food for the kittens we're hoping to rehome in the next couple of weeks :) x
ReplyDeleteMe? well I have a sewing machine, and a pattern (so scary, the first one), but no cute fabric (skinto), that's what I would ask for, cute fabric. And, OMGoodness, you are so brave singing in public, I dont even sing in the shower lol.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't know the Gilmore Girls at all. Oops!
ReplyDeleteI've been watching a lot of comedy boxed sets (Father Ted being the latest). Perfect for someone like me who falls asleep during films. I've got "Benidorm" on my list at the moment.
That is soooo sweet:) x
ReplyDeleteOhh, I would ask the fairy hobmother for a cast iron casserole (with lid) in preparation for winter.
ReplyDeletePippa
Dear Fairy Hobmother, please bring me a flat of my own and a job.
ReplyDeleteOr a portable record player?
Ah, jealous. I have the first series of Gilmore Girls but that's it :) Love that show so much ^_^
ReplyDeleteI'd probably ask for a Kindle, so that I don't have to take a two hour round trip every time I want to buy books :D
Haha i LOVED your video! Can't go wrong with a bit of GG. I would ask the Fairy Hobmother for some new knitting books and patterns. The weather has been SO rubbish lately, may as well stay in, knit and get ready autumn! xxx
ReplyDeleteCan I have my get up and go back please?
ReplyDeleteIf the Fairy Hobmother is feeling generous, I'd love the Army Wives DVD boxset, or some Hobby Craft vouchers please.
ReplyDeleteummm...that video just made my whole day. hahaha :)
ReplyDeleteyay gilmore girls!
How fab is the Gilmore Girls. Me and my sister got into it while we were at uni and brought all the boxsets (thanks student loan! *cough*) and I have watched them all about 4 times!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE that you made a video singing along...I always sing...but I doubt I would share it :)
I am in the process of buying a house so i would wish for a nice big TV for the house to watch Gilmore Girls on again when I move in!
May start watching them again when I get home actually and have a good sing along!
Aw, this is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI wish for a voucher of some kind. My family are going through some money troubles at the moment so I want to be able to treat them and put a smile on their faces. A voucher means they can have anything they want :)

The Gilmore Girls are my absolute favourite and best, yes I like Charlie and Lola too ;o).
ReplyDeleteI would ask for the GG dvds that I don't have :o)
I love the Gilmore Girls as much as I also want to put masking tapes over their mouths to stop their incessant banter (that's not supposed to sound quite as sinister as I realise it does!!). Hmmm...I think I'd also love an Amazon voucher from the Fairy Hobmother to purchase lots of frivolous books and DVDs. Love your video :)

ReplyDeleteI have all of them on dvd and every once and a while I will have a phase and watch Gilmore Girls from start to finish. I just love that show and I get sad everytime I watch the last episode!
ReplyDeleteE :)
This is such a nice thing they are doing... I would love some DVDs from my 'movies I want to watch list' as all my spare money at the moment is being saved or spent on bills and I need some new stuff to watch whilst my boy is on nights and I'm lonely in the flat!
ReplyDeleteZoe xoxo
I LOVE GILMORE GILRS! Enjoyed the singalong too.
ReplyDeleteKirk is one of my fave characters! x
Love the singing v.brave. Dont think I ever saw an episode all the way through, just on at the wrong time for me. But the actress who plays mum Lorelei is also in the series Parenthood which I just loved first series. Aaaand lucky lucky me now has sky+ so no more missing stuff.
ReplyDeleteI have just sat here racking my brains for something I want. I am not sure whether the fact I can't think of anything is a good thing or not eek!
ReplyDeleteIn the absence of any wants for myself Fairy Hobmother I think I'd ask for The Wonders of the Universe box set for my son, he has ASD and it's his very best, favourite special interest and I am seriously running out of facts for him to learn and repeat. And, in order to play fair, for my daughter I'd like Cinderella on DVD because basically she's 3 and we've entered the world of everything Disney Princess!
If I can't have that then I'll take a bit of peace and harmony and spread it around the country, after the last week we sure could do with some x
Oh your sing along video is brilliant! I do so enjoy getting my daily fix of Mrs. Thrifty xox If I could ask the fairy Hobmother for a little something it would be a circular Addi size 4 knitting needle. I have always wanted these but a wee little pricey xox
ReplyDeleteI am having a really crap couple of days, and this cheered me up no end. AND i sang along!
ReplyDeleteI love Gilmore Girls but most of all, I love you! And, I sang along! Much to my house mates amusement.. xx
ReplyDeleteAMAZZIIIING. My sister once got theme all, and before I could nick them off her she sold them on eBay, Gutted.
ReplyDeleteHow amazing - I love this idea - the Fairy Hobmother must be very kind!! I too love the Gilmore Girls, although I have to watch them in snatched moments in the mornings when they are on!
ReplyDeleteMy wish at the moment would be for a book about knitting socks - my doctor has advised that I need some "me" time, and she said that knitting socks is very therapeutic and absorbing, so it sounds like just the thing. There are no books in my library about knitting socks, so I was disappointed in there yesterday!
I do hope that everyone gets what they wish for in one way or another, even if it is not through the Fairy Hobmother!
This is fabulous...
ReplyDeleteI'm actually watching The Proms right now. Had to turn it off and watch your vid. Much better than a stuffy old orchestra!
A Sophie the giraffe toy for my much wanted baby, who's due in Oct.Would be very generous if at all possible please. xxxx
ReplyDeleteAah, how nice you got your favourite series. For some reason whenever you've mentioned the Gilmore Girls I always get it confused with the Golden Girls - I see now they're far from being similar! All I'd really like is a piano, but I'll keep that on my personal wishlist - not sure it's within the power of any fairy to deliver!
ReplyDeleteI have always found the Gilmore Girls talk very very fast. Even for me!
ReplyDeleteI'm clearly missing something by not seeing the Gilmore Girls! Love the singing - and I'm a music teacher!!
ReplyDeleteI love Gilmore Girls! I wish people actually bantered with each other like that in real life! I used to think that about Dawsons Creek too! And I wish I could insult people how they do on period films.
ReplyDeleteI would wish for a lino or screen printing kit, I've been itching to give it a go for ages.
Kier x
okay..now..have recently had a hysterectomy..yep..the nursery's been removed..Gilmour Girls was my guilty..hell..im not even gonna say 'guilty'..it was a pleasure..for my 3 months recuperation..I wish to live in 'stars hollow' for the 'fall'..to have a snog with luke..(sorry lorelai)..and to smell the snow..when the big hand reaches the 's' and the little hand reaches the 'oon'....love it...xxx
ReplyDeleteHa! I was going to save commenting on this post till the morning but I couldnt resist...hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI'd chose a DVD boxset too to cosy up in the Winter months. The Good Life most probably... : )
gilmore girls is a sweet series no doubt! love alexis bleidel for growing up so graciously as her grandparents in reel life would've liked in real life too:)
ReplyDeleteaww that is really sweet, i love the gilmore girls. I would wish for a camera that can take vintage style photos (much like the effect you have on your photo) alternatively the knowlegdge to do that to my photos using a pc x
ReplyDeleteWell done you for posting with such abandon and being so smiley! As I am ancient I have not watched the gilmore girls but I know people who do.......and as this looks like some kind of wishlist then anything would be good thank you!
ReplyDeleteI sang along with you....I had to, it's impossible not to sing along with the GG song! I usually fast forward the title sequence on shows but the GG is one that I NEVER fast forward and ALWAYS sing along too!! :)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, my wish would also be for Gilmore Girls box sets, but only ones after season 3. I'm slowly completing my collection and got season 3 a few weeks ago *grins*
I love the The Gilmore Girls and have watched all of them thanks to Sky Plus as it was on when I have been at work.
ReplyDeleteI like to think that Lorelai and Luke now live happily in Stars Hollow perhaps with a little baby and Rory is a successful reporter.
I still have the last episode saved and watch it when I feel the need to escape.
What a lovely idea. My wish would be for a rotary cutter as I have fabric but no cutter and I really want to make a quilt with my daughter.
ReplyDeleteI love the Gilmore Girls and would like to own the Inn. I sang along with you!
ReplyDeleteI'd never seen the Gilmore Girls until recently when they started showing them from the beginning on E4 and I LOVE it!!!!
ReplyDeleteVictoria xxx
Hahaha! I've finally had a chance to watch the video. I luff you Mrs. I not only sang along, I did the Lorelei dance as well.
ReplyDeleteShould the Fairy Hobmother be reading this, some Amazon vouchers would come in *extremely* handy. I'm off to Edinburgh at the weekend but in order to be as moneysaving as possible I'm going by coach. 9 hours each way. DOOM! The Kindle will save me from being bored to death but I have no spare dosh for books to put on it.
you are so brave! i cant even sing in front of family - but then i have a truly awful voice. not like you mrs, potential x factor contestant!
ReplyDeleteif the honorable fairy hobmother were to bestow me with a wish, it would be amazon vouchers so i can make a dent in my ever growing amazon wish list. i need books!!
I feel I am missing out, I have never seen the Gilmore Girls!
ReplyDeleteIf the Fairy Hobmother were to pay me a visit I would be beyond pleased to be given a Kindle, I must get back into reading again!
I love, love, love Gilomore Girls, have got all the box sets, had to order from USA originally at great cost but worth every penny!
ReplyDeleteI love the gilmore girls! I have all the episodes, and adore loralei! xx
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the DVDs. I've watched mine so much that the boxes for several seasons are falling apart.
ReplyDeleteIf I could wish for something it would be a coldwater creek gc for my mom since her birthday is on Christmas and she always seems to be forgotten.
