Cake in a cup

Cake in a cup, crazy huh? I know this has been doing the rounds on these 'ere interwebs for years now but my friend had never heard of it and almost expired from laughing and amazement when I showed her cake in a cup after a night at the pub.

What you need

A large microwavable cup
4tbsp of self raising flour
4tbsp of caster sugar
2tbsp of cocoa

Vanilla extract
1 egg
2tsp of choc chips (I didn't have any in the house, so used 2 squares of milk chocolate roughly chopped and ate 1/4.
3tbsp of milk
3tbsp of oil

Method
Place the dry ingredients into the mug.

Stir in the egg, milk and oil before adding a small drop of vanilla extract and choc chips.

Cook on high for around 3-4mins depending on your microwave model.

Turn out onto a plate or allow to cool for a while and eat from the mug with a spoon like trampy old me.

One good tip to bear in mind whilst making this is that is makes more sense if you're pissed.

TTFN,

P.S.  Let me know if you have tried it.

  5. I've seen that before and always think it looks like a great idea, but as I am (possibly) the only person left in Britain that doesn't have a microwave I have yet to try it!! Did someone mention after eight's? mmmmmmmm.....

  6. I was the same for ages. We only got a microwave when we moved to Manchester. It really only gets used for warming up chocolate for cakes and the odd bit of soup for lunch.
